15 weeks!

I chose to skip week 14.  Lets just pretend it never happened.  It was not one of my better weeks, the photo was terrible and I'm pretty sure it would have been more appealing to be run over by a tractor.  I'm joking, but really week 14...lets just skip it.

Week 15 is already off to a better start!  I can hardly believe how quickly time is flying and how much my physical appearance is changing every day!  It's amazing, exciting, scary, and many other emotions all rolled in to one...all of which I seem to be experiencing at various intervals.  My poor husband :)

Not much progress has been made on the nursery since my last post, mostly because football season has begun.  It's ok though, plenty of time!  Speaking of fooseball....a pic of me in my new redskins t-shirt - and yes mom, I should have gotten a bigger size...

At 15 weeks the baby is the size of an apple!  4 inches long!  Whole cow! Big ol' fatty baby!  Here are our ritual photos for your viewing pleasure!

Renovation - Parts I & II

Part I - Room empty and ready to go!

VIP Helpers!

Part II - All paneling down.  Drywall ready to go up!

Drywall is currently halfway done.  I'll take some more pictures after this weekend because it will be finished!!!!

13 Weeks

How could I forget week 13!!

Monday I went for my "regular check-up" and got to meet my new doctor for the first time.  He was very nice and came in making jokes, so I decided I like him!  My mom came with me and waited in the lobby for me to be finished, but while I was in there I asked if they were going to listen to the heartbeat and...THEY DID!  So I had the nurse run out and grab my mom so she could hear it too.  She was so excited and it was really awesome that she was there!

Hurricane Irene - we survived and hope everyone else did too!  We got lucky and didn't lose power for any extended period of time, just some flickering off and on.  We lost cable, but with a dish strapped to the roof of your house and 50+ mph winds....lets just say the bigger surprise was the fact that it was still on the roof after.  :)

The nursery is coming along slow and steady thanks to that stinkin storm, but Mike did get a wall of drywall up on Sunday on the wall with the closet.  He's getting ready to put up new insulation in 2 places then he will be able to drywall over that.  Once that's all done there are just a few more steps until painting commences!  I can't wait to paint the room!  I'll actually be able to refer to it as the "nursery" in everyday conversation, not just the "guest room we are renovating".  haha.

I ordered a maternity pillow that wraps up your whole body (It's here and it's amazing!) and the most adorable (at least they looked adorable online) dresser knobs with a variety of Beatrix Potter images.  I cannot wait for them to get here.  Not that we have a dresser to attach them too but having them is going to be exciting enough for me.

I also forgot to mention at week 11 (?) I think, that my mom already purchased a diaper bag for us!  We went to Kate Spade and picked out the cutest navy blue bag!  The inside is orange with gold polka-dots and matching changing pad.  TOO CUTE!!!

In the living room today.  Nursery is still under contruction!

12 Weeks!

It's a Lime...but there is no Corona :)   Today marks the start of week 12 for the Hennigan baby.  He/She is the size of a lime!

This weekend was super busy!  My parents came over and Mike & my dad started all of the renovations on the guest room which will from here on out be referred to as "The Nursery"!  (CRAZY!)  The paneling is down and drywall is already going up.  When they removed some of the paneling we found out there was some minor water damage under both windows, so that put a slight delay on things, but he's been working on fixing that and we'll be completely drywalled in no time!

My mom already ordered the bedding set (Peter Rabbit from Pottery Barn Kids) and the valences and crib sheet have already arrived.  They are absolutely adorable!  We have decided to paint the room light blue ("Blue Tradition" to be exact) even though we haven't found out boy or girl yet.  It's going to be the perfect complement to the bedding set and the white furniture we are choosing!

I can't believe we have made it to week 12!!!!!  I am heading to my evaluation this afternoon for PT which will begin next Monday 2 days a week.  Aqua Therapy.  Cannot wait!

Here are some pics of my ever-growing figure.  I'll do another post later with renovation photos, but here's a sneak peak!

Demolition + New Slippers = Happy Momma!

I wish I could say I was pushing it out...FATTY!

11 Weeks!

Well, we are now entering the 11th week.  I'm really excited about this because I am starting my Aqua therapy in the next few days and will finally (hopefully) be relieved of some of this pain and discomfort I have been having in my back and hips!

At 11 weeks the chicken nugget is the size of a fig!  His/her hands can open and close into fists and he/she is moving around like crazy, although I cannot feel that yet.  It's pretty amazing that just a few weeks ago he/she was only the size of a poppy seed.  That's a lot of growin' happening in there :)

I'm way less nauseous then I was, so that's awesome.  Still experiencing some food aversions, but it's definitely getting better.

Here are this weeks photo updates for your viewing pleasure!  Should I really be showing this much already???  Yikes!  Also notice that we have started clearing out the guest room and have paint samples taped all over the place!  In the coming weeks you will get to see the paneling come down, dry wall go up and paint come into the picture!  Very exciting!

Room is still a little messy, but very empty compared to last week!

10 weeks and counting

10 Weeks?!?  WOW!  Some days I feel like it is flying by and there is no way we are already at the 10 week mark, then other days I seriously feel like time is moving at the speed of stop.  On a whole, I suppose I could say I am feeling better then I have been.  I'm still extremely exhausted and have been having headaches, but at least the nausea is gone for the most part and I am back to eating more normally.

We had our Heart Beat appointment on Friday and the nurse told us it was a little early and we may not be able to hear it yet, but the Chicken Nugget made him/herself known with a nice clear heart beat!  We were so excited!!!

I am going to be starting Aqua theripy soon.  I have been having quite a bit of back pain.  I think it's because of how low I am carrying.  With my fusion and my hip problems, they think this will be a huge relief for me.  I just hope I start sleeping better with less tossing and turning.

We go back to the doctors on August 29th for a regular check up and then we will find out when our first ultrasound is.  I'm so ready for it!  I want to see my little nugget up close and personal!

Here are some photos for you to enjoy of my fatty self in my Motherhood outfit!
Bear snuck in to this one...he's a camera snob :)
