28 Weeks

Holy Cow!  Every week I still find it hard to believe that we are this far!  28 weeks - only 12 to go!!  Next Monday morning I have a doctors appointment and after that we are down to going every 2 weeks.  Unbelievable!  Mike and I are both getting more and more excited to meet little Eddie and the bigger he gets the more active he gets, so we are both getting to really enjoy his kicks and punches (as much as you can really enjoy being punched in the rib on a regular basis!!)  His nursery is finished with the exception of getting a chair, so that's a huge relief.  It's baby ready whenever little E decides to make his debut.  Work has been pretty challenging for me lately just because I can't do everything I'm used to being able to do and it's hard to find helpers.  I'm wearing out and I hate that, but I know when I start feeling like this to listen to my body and limit myself - doesn't mean I have to like it! :)

Here are today's pictures - 28 weeks!

26 Weeks!

Getting bigger by the minute!  Little E can hear much better now and he's breathing in and out preparing his lungs for the real world. I swear he knows who is touching my belly because he will only kick for Mike and my mom!  We are getting more and more excited every day to get to meet him, but we are happy to let him cook a little longer!

Here are the pics we took of my belly this week - I think I have doubled in size since last week, but that's probably just in my head (at least that's what you all better tell me)  :)

Hayley had to be in this one :)

25 Weeks!

25 weeks and ready for our vacation!  It's been a pretty constant dance party happening and Eddie has no intentions of holding back!  We are just a few small steps away from the nursery being 100% finished, but at this point a baby could definitely live in there!!!  I posted 2 pictures below of some of the special touches we have done - spelling out eddie in wooden letters over his changing table and putting up some adorable bunny prints over his crib!  I'm getting bigger by the minute and there are days Mike will tell me I got bigger since I left the house in the morning!  (Terribly Rude!)

Tomorrow I have a doctors appointment - just another check up, nothing exciting!

Meanwhile - I would like to welcome Miss Alma Ward to the world - My friend Candace had her baby on Sunday, November 20th
And a very special welcome to Mr. Caiden (spelling to be determined) Karlo Spaulding - my cousins Chris and Monica's new baby boy who came to the world on Monday, November 21st!
We are so excited for Eddie to have two friends to play with!  We are also looking forward to Sophia "Fifi" Greskoff who will be making her debut the end of January!  Lots of playmates for Little E to hang out with!!

Hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Ignore the tired look - enjoy the adorable letters over the changing table!

24 weeks and then some!

Really?  24 weeks?  When did that happen?

Over the course of the past 2 weeks we have almost completed the nursery and I have pictures to share!!!!  We went for a second ultrasound because Eddie wasn't cooperating for the first one and they needed to picture of his cute little face!  (I have those to share as well!!!!)  We also had a blast at the wedding of 2 of our favorite people, Megan & Ryan, who said "I do" on November 5th at the Cork Factory Hotel (which was also our 9 month wedding anniversary!)  Life has been busy and will only continue that way for the next few months.  I have been feeling pretty good, only a few minor body aches and pains, a few preggo meltdowns (how many times can I say My Poor Husband in one blog?), and a few online purchases...

Happy Birthday to my momma!!!!!

Here are the pics for you to enjoy!

21 and 22 week photos!

Sorry!  I skipped a week - I kept forgetting where I left my camera...  We went for our monthly doctors appointment and there is a new doctor at the practice!  We really liked her and she actually answered our questions!!  (HOORAY!)  We will be going for another ultra sound on November 11th because little E kept hiding his face and that is frowned upon in the OB world!  The doctor told me I should have a little chat with him before we go and ask him to cooperate this time :)

He is really moving around a lot now!  He's a very busy guy, just swimmin' and swimmin'.  Here are pictures from last week and this week (and Halloween in between!).

21 weeks!

Happy Halloween!!!
22 Weeks!

We will be moving furniture in on Sunday this weekend!!!
I can't believe it's all ready!!!

20 Weeks - Halfway there!!

20 weeks and counting!  Little E is getting bigger every day (and so am I!).  Mike was able to paint the trim and get a coat of paint on the walls!  Another coat and some more trim and we will be ready to move in the furniture!  I love the color!  "Something Blue" - It's so sweet and is going to look great with all of the white furniture.  We chose mostly greens and blues anyway, so everything is going to be perfect for Eddie!  Everything has arrived at this point furniture wise.  The crib, dresser/changing table, bookshelf, curtain rods...I'm sure I'm forgetting something but you get the point!  We are just waiting on a little more of the bedding but it should be in by the end of this month.  I can't wait to get that all together so we can start working on wall decor (and so I can take too many pictures of the room and post them here for you!).

Anyway, here are the pictures for this week!  Enjoy!

IT'S A BOY!!!!!!!

We went yesterday for our first ultrasound and we were getting nervous because the baby was keeping his legs crossed and not moving around a whole lot to give us a peek.  Well, after they let me pee (sorry - it's part of the story!) baby went on a dancing spree!  He was movin' and shakin' and gave us a quick peek!!!  It was so exciting!  After that he stopped cooperating and kept his hand in front of his face.  No Paparazzi!  We couldn't get a good image of his face because he kept his hand in front of it the rest of the appointment, but here are the images they were able to give us and we are so excited to share them with you!

Also, you will notice that the ticker has changed, so insted of being 19 weeks we are 19 weeks and a few days - they moved our due date up from March 6th to March 3rd - not a big difference, but big enough for me!  We get to meet Eddie even sooner then we thought (as long as he cooperates and doesn't cook longer then needed!)

And now - Introducing...Edward Vincent Hennigan - "Eddie"

This one scanned a little lop-sided

Just kickin' and dancin'

18 weeks!

Already at the 18 week mark.  We find out in less than 6 days if Baby is a boy or girl and we cannot wait!!  We are trying to finalize names, but at least we have a little longer to think about it!  Names will (hopefully) be revealed when we post the gender next week.  Of course, some of you will get phone calls and won't have to find out on here, but we will be posting the gender, name and photo for your viewing pleasure!

This week the baby is about 5 1/2 inches long and getting bigger by the minute!  I'm finding that my belly is starting to get in the way when I try to tie my sneakers...ehh...now I just need Mike to do it for me!

Baby furniture has been ordered thanks to my parents and father-in-law!  The bookshelf, dresser/changing table combo, mattress pad and a few other things arrived yesterday and more is scheduled to arrive today.  The crib hasn't shipped yet, but it's on the list of things to arrive this month!  Again, almost finished renovations to the nursery and we should be going to buy paint this weekend.  We decided on blue whether it's a boy or girl.  It's a pretty, calming color and it just so happens I had a blue nursery when I was a baby.  We cannot wait for it to all be put together! I cannot wait for renovations to finally be done! :)

Here are a couple photos for you from this week.  Please note I have added purple to my wardrobe.  After last week I noticed how much black I wear, so we added a splash of color this week!

17 Weeks!

Welp, we have hit the 17 week mark and in just a few more we will know the gender of Baby Hennigan!!  We are starting to talk about names which is exciting, frustrating and exciting again!  I'm the "but the nickname is awful" person.  I might like a name for a minute, but then I come up with a nickname that would just ruin the entire thing and the name is crossed off the list! haha.  Poor Mike.  He has so many and I just keep shooting them down!

Mike has made some progress on the nursery over the past week.  Taping and mudding is almost done and we should be able to paint by the second week in October!  (Which is only 2 weeks away!)  He just has to finish around the ceiling, sand and do a second round and we will be all set!!!  Can't wait!

Here are the photos from this morning for your viewing (and laughing) pleasure!  Also, if you haven't voted yet, we have added a poll over the the right for you - What do you think Baby will be?

Front view in my sweater!

Mike made me unbutton my sweater because you "couldn't tell"
how big my belly was!
Also, I should probably add a color to my wardrobe...too much black and grey! lol

16 weeks!

16 weeks!!  Nothing new to report at the moment.  Chicken Nugget's the size of an Avacado.  Going for blood work on Monday and a doctors appointment on Wednesday next week, so hopefully I'll have something good for you then!

Still working on finishing the walls :)

15 weeks!

I chose to skip week 14.  Lets just pretend it never happened.  It was not one of my better weeks, the photo was terrible and I'm pretty sure it would have been more appealing to be run over by a tractor.  I'm joking, but really week 14...lets just skip it.

Week 15 is already off to a better start!  I can hardly believe how quickly time is flying and how much my physical appearance is changing every day!  It's amazing, exciting, scary, and many other emotions all rolled in to one...all of which I seem to be experiencing at various intervals.  My poor husband :)

Not much progress has been made on the nursery since my last post, mostly because football season has begun.  It's ok though, plenty of time!  Speaking of fooseball....a pic of me in my new redskins t-shirt - and yes mom, I should have gotten a bigger size...

GO SKINS!  Sunday, September 11th, 2011

At 15 weeks the baby is the size of an apple!  4 inches long!  Whole cow! Big ol' fatty baby!  Here are our ritual photos for your viewing pleasure!
